Charlottesville Transit Service

CTS is the public transit provider for the City of Charlottesville and portions of urban Albemarle County. CTS bus stops are marked with orange and yellow signs on a white background bearing the CTS sunburst logo. Buses operate six days a week - Monday through Saturday from 6:15am to 11:45pm. In addition, CTS provides free trolley service connecting the Downtown Pedestrian Mall, The Corner and University Grounds Monday through Saturday 6:40am until midnight. For information, pick-up a free Rider’s Guide on any CTS bus or at either Visitor Center. CTS does not operate on New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
