Description: Legendary rockers Metallica bring their World Magnetic Tour to John Paul Jones Arena on Saturday, October 17, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. The band has been touring to sold-out crowds across the U.S. and the World since the release of last year�s Death Magnetic album.
This tour features a stage �in the round� with tickets on the floor being general admission. The remainder of the house will be reserved seating.
With 50 million albums sold and numerous projects in the works, Metallica is on a career high. Earlier this year they received their eighth Grammy Award (for Best Metal Performance for Death Magnetic�s �My Apocolyse�). This month will see the release of the Metallica Guitar Hero game as well as the release of The Complete Metallica, a discography box set, featuring 163 tracks.
