Description: The Charlottesville & University Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Kate Tamarkin presents Evening at the Opera Operatic highlights featuring artists from the Virginia Opera and UVa�s University Singers. Includes selections from the following and more:
Gioachino Rossini The Barber of Seville;
Camille Saint-Sa�ns Samson and Delilah;
Georges Bizet Carmen;
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart Marriage of Figaro
*Preconcert lecture begins at 2:45pm in The Forum.

Larry the Cable Guy

Description: The man who added the catchphrase �Git-R-Done� to the American lexicon is coming to John Paul Arena February 20, 2009 at 8:00 p.m.

Larry�s latest film, �Witless Protection� was released on DVD in early June; Larry stars as a sheriff along with his co-star Ivana Millicevic and Jenny McCarthy. He is a best selling author and has many record breaking comedy CD�s, including his latest release, �Morning Constitutions�.

Larry has been a part of the highly successful concert �Blue Collar Comedy Tour�. Last holiday season, Larry starred in VH1�s �Larry the Cable Guy�s Christmas Spectacular�. Larry is the voice of Mater in the Golden Globe winning Disney/Pixar animated film �Cars�.

Free Bridge Quintet: UVA Faculty Jazz Quintet
Location: Old Cabell Hall, University of Virginia, (UVA) Charlottesville, VA 22904
Description: The Free Bridge Quintet, the official faculty jazz combo of the University of Virginia's McIntire Department of Music, will celebrate the 10th anniversary of its founding by performing a concert at Old Cabell Hall on Friday, February 16th at 8:00PM. The group features John D'earth on trumpet, Jeff Decker on saxophones, Pete Spaar on bass, Robert Jospe on the drums, and Bob Hallahan on piano. Tickets are $15 / $8 / 5 ARTS$
