What: ASG�s 12th Annual AIDS Walk
When: Saturday, October 25, 2008, 9 a.m. � 12 p.m.
Where: Westminster Presbyterian Church, 190 Rugby Road Charlottesville, VA 22903
Cost: $25; $15 (student with ID) and children under 12 FREE
On Saturday, October 25, 2008, the AIDS/HIV Services Group will host the 12th Annual AIDS Walk to raise money and awareness. The event will take place from
9 am - 12 pm at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 190 Rugby Road, Charlottesville.
Event participants raise pledges as either individuals or as teams in the weeks preceding the AIDS Walk, and on the day of the event, they may run and/or walk a 2K, 3K, or 5K to represent their sponsorships. All proceeds from these pledges benefit the AIDS/HIV Services Group. Additionally, prizes ranging from Wintergreen lift tickets to Crutchfield gift certificates will be awarded to the top individual and team fundraisers.
The AIDS/HIV Services Group is a non-profit organization serving Central Virginia and the surrounding areas. This year, ASG celebrates 22 years of successfully implementing programs of community outreach and support, HIV testing, health education and risk reduction. Through these programs, ASG is decreasing the impact of HIV/AIDS through awareness and intervention, targeting all people at risk for HIV in our region. Thousands of lives have been touched by ASG in the last two decades, and that number only continues to grow.
